The Rubaru Mister India pageant celebrated its fifteenth edition this year. On this special occasion the pageant was moved to Goa and joined hands with the world’s leading automobile company, Audi, which was the title sponsor for this year’s event. The Rubaru Mister India pageant is regarded as the biggest annual pageant for men in India. It is organized by the Rubaru Group, an NGO and talent promoting group, headed by Indian entrepreneur and painter, Sandeep Kumar based in the North Indian state of Haryana. The pageant was launched in the year 2004 as a modelling event and has been happening annually ever since its inception. Having being held every year since its establishment in the year 2004, the Rubaru Mister India pageant is the oldest surviving annual national level pageant for men in India.

The pageant is associated with more than 10 international pageants and modelling competitions for men. Every year, Rubaru Mister India pageant elects India’s representatives for these well-established and prominent international events. Some of the international pageants that are associated with the Rubaru Mister India pageants are Mister International, Mister Model International, Mister Model Worldwide, Mister United Continents, Mister Eco International, Mister Tourism World, Mister National Universe and Master of the Misters to name a few.

 Over the years, the pageant has produced various notable titleholders who have excelled in various fields including arts, television, fashion industry, politics and many more. The Rubaru Mr India Organization holds the record of being associated with the maximum number of international pageants and modelling organizations in India. Every year, the pageant is attended by various notable people from the modelling industry and pageant world. Since 2014, the Rubaru Mr India organization has sent India’s delegates to more than 10 different international male pageants taking place in different parts of the world.

 The president and founder of Rubaru Mister India pageant, Sandeep Kumar has also been named the best pageant organizer and national director not just once but twice. He is the first and only Indian till date to have been honoured with such an award.

Coinciding with its fifteenth anniversary this year, the organizers decided to make this year’s event the most celebrated and extravagant one. The pageant was moved to Goa for the first in the pageant’s history. The pageant concluded lavishly on March 10, 2018 at the Las Olas hotel in Goa with the election of the new Rubaru Mister India titleholders. Suarj Dahiya from New Delhi was proclaimed as the winner of Audi Goa Rubaru Mister India 2018 and was presented with an Audi Q3 car; Suraj will represent India at Mister Model Worldwide 2018 pageant; Balaji Murugadoss from Tamil Nadu was declared Audi Goa Rubaru Mister India International 2018 and will represent India at the Mister International 2019; Dilip Patel from Maharashtra won the Audi Goa Rubaru Mister India 2018 (first runner up) title, Kamlesh Solanki from Tamil Nadu was adjudged Audi Goa Rubaru Mister India 2018 (second runner up) and Gaurav Sharma from Ghaziabad clinched the Audi Goa Rubaru Mister India 2018 (third runner up) award. The runners up are also expected to represent India at some international modelling pageants in coming months. In a separate special ceremony, the Indian representatives for upcoming international pageants for men were also announced. Famous Goan model, Dalton D’Souza was declared Audi Goa Rubaru Mr  India Model International 2018 and will represent India at the Mister Model International Pageant 2019; Pardeep Kharera from New Delhi was adjudged Audi Goa Rubaru  Mr India United Continents 2018 and will represent India at the upcoming Mister United Continents contest; Zulfi Aziz SK from Assam won the Audi Goa Rubaru Mr India Tourism World title and will represent India at Mister Tourism World 2018 competition; Farhan Qureshi from Madhya Pradesh was announced Audi Goa Rubaru Mr India National Universe 2018 and will represent India at this year’s Mister National Universe competition; Ashwani Neeraj from New Delhi won the Audi Goa Rubaru Mr India Eco International award and will represent India at Mister Eco International 2019 pageant and Anjum Varis from New Delhi won Audi Goa Rubaru Mr India Master of the Misters title and will mark India’s debut at the Master of the Misters international pageant to take place in 2019.

Apart from representing India at international pageants, the winners also spend the next 12 months of their tenure as Rubaru Mr India titleholder, attending several fashion and social events and working for the causes supported by the Rubaru Group.  From creating awareness on importance of education to supporting the noble cause of “women empowerment”, the Rubaru Group has been making consistent efforts in improving the lives of the less fortunate.
